CAD/CAM

We have a wide range of computer software at Kingsbury, which enables us to receive and send a variety of file formats, Some of the software packages we use include.

AutoCad Release 2000

This is our main software package, which we use for most of our work with the tool drawings. It uses DWG and DXF file formats, and these would be our preference, if possible, when receiving drawings.

AlphaCAM

With this software, we produce all of our programming for the 2D work, such as holes, milling and wire eroding. We can also read IGES and DXF files using this programme.

MasterCAM

We use this software package to produce all of the programming for our 3D work, and can again read IGES and DXF files too.

Other Facilities

As well as the above packages we also have a variety of other software, which we use for reading, modify and creating other file types. They include:

PHOTOSUITE / PAINT SHOP PRO
These packages are mainly used to read, modify and create BMP & JPG files, usually those produced with our digital camera.

ADOBE ACROBAT
With this we are able to read .PDF files
